200k going into day 2 of PCA

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

I ran nice today. I never sucked out on anyone but flopped the nuts at least 3 times that I can remembered and won lots of chips every time. I ended the day ay 200,000, which is average chips for when we get in the money. The structure of this tournament is awful though, so I could easily busto if I lose 2 coin flips. All in all, it was a long, nice, rough, day. Katy and I will chill here at

    Going to Bahamas tomorrow

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

Tomorrow Katy and I are flying to the Bahamas for the PCA. I always like this tournament, as it is filled with super loose passive internet qualifiers and super over aggressive internet kids, both of which are easy to play against. They also added a $25,000 event that I will hopefully not be able to play because I will still be in the main event. I havent played too much poker besides making

    I am now engaged!

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

I have a great life. I got engaged to Katy last night here in Tampa. To sum it up, I have her parent's blessing and she didn't see it coming, so I think it went well. She also snap said "yes," which is a big plus. As of now, we are most likely looking to get married on an Alaskan cruise sometime during May of 2010 right before the wsop, as May and August are the only semidead months

    Merry Christmas

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

The last week feels like the longest week of my life. Katy and I had around 24 hours to unpack and moved into our house in Vegas before returning to Pensacola for the holidays. Katy's birthday was on the 21st and mine was on the 22nd, so we spent those days doing birthday stuff. Also on my birthday, I found out my taxes are going to be a bit less than I prepared for (I always prepare for the

    Moving into a new house

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

Today was loooonngggg and it isnt quite over yet. Katy and I had a ton to do today and got started nice and early at 9 am. I had to go wire the money to the title company. My car decided it needed air in its tires, so I went to fill them up. While I was doing that, Katy was getting the door knobs keyed to use the same key. We eventually headed over to the house where I arrived 2 minutes

Busted in 39th place for $36,000.

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

Today started off great, with me doubling up with KJ vs JT on the 2nd hand. I then won a few more pots to get up to 320,000 and then lost some pots and blinded off for an hour to get to around 150,000, which was 10bbs at 6000/12000-2000. A internet guy raised from middle position and I pushed the 66 and lost to his KQ, which he took forever calling with for reasons unknown to me. The flop came

Going into day 4 with 5000 more chips than yesterday

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

Today was going pretty well until the very last level. I had around 250,000 chips and got moved from my tough table with Doyle Brunson, Abe Mousari(sp?), Mike Matusow, Tony Vu and a few other good players. I got moved to a basically all online pro + Allen Cunningham table, which wasnt too good for me, so I decided I was going to nit it up for the last hour of the day. Eventually, Rekrul, a good

    130,000 going into day 3

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

Today was rough. I caught a few bluffs early to get up to 150,000 but stayed between 170 and 120 for the rest of the day. I have somehow doubled up 7 short stacks out of the 8 times I have been all in with them, busting only Beth Shak. Hopefully I can win some all ins tomorrow because grinding up 30bbs then losing it is getting old, and will soon busto me, as the blinds are going to be

    71,000 going into day 2

    Posted by FieryJustice in Untagged

Today was pretty rough. I had a table that kept me in prision for most of the day, as I had pretty aggro people on both sides of me. I only played 2 semibig hands today, one with the near nuts (T6s) and the other with a stone bluff (T9o). Thankfully, I won both of them. I really was basically 100% card dead today though and never really got in too many big pots. Hopefully I can get a good

    busto near the bubble.

Today was meh at best. I started the day on a pretty short stack but was able to triple up in the 30 minutes, getting KK against AQ and winning a few other smallish pots. Eventually, at 2000/4000-500, I raised KT from the button into Matt G's big blind. It is a roughish spot because I know he is going to be 3betting me a ton but at the same time, I know he is a little on the tighter side. I
